Host Opportunities
The Host Opportunities directory provides a brief summary of sport
and recreation events on which
Alberta groups are eligible to bid for hosting privileges
.
Each event or championship has its own hosting criteria depending on the event, including
facility requirements, availability of accommodation, endorsement
of the local club or provincial organization, etc. Other
"unwritten" criteria may also be involved in the
selection process, including the group's previous experience
in hosting events, the rotation of the event to various locations,
proximity to international airports, etc.
Information has been provided
by the provincial and national organizations. This information
includes the level of competition, the size of the event,
general timing of the bid process, and other special requirements.
