Alberta Sport Development Centres

Currently there are four ASDCs operating in Alberta, these
include the following:
The Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation has established a
network of Alberta Sport Development Centres (ASDC) across the
province. The main purpose of these Centres is to
enhance and coordinate services available to Alberta's
emerging athletes and coaches. These regional centres
provide services to athletes and coaches residing in a
defined geographical region allowing athletes to develop and
train at a high level without leaving home. Some
examples of services that can be offered include testing of
athletes, sport medicine, strength and conditioning, sport
nutrition, sport psychology, NCCP courses and scholarship
opportunities, parent workshops, and school programs. Partners include
Sport Canada, Canadian Sport Centre Calgary, Grande Prairie
Regional College, Keyano College, Medicine Hat College, and
