Graves Wildlife Sanctuary

Project History

The summer village residents of Argentia Beach donated the land to the Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation in 1996, with the land designated as a wildlife sanctuary.

Driving Directions From Edmonton

Head South on Highway 2 until you reach Secondary Highway 616 and turn West (right). At Secondary Highway 795 turn South (left). Pass the Pipestone Store and turn West (right) on Secondary Highway 616. Continue West and turn North (right) to stay on Secondary Highway 616. Continue driving for approximately 3 km (2 miles) and turn West (left) and travel for approximately 1.5 km (1 mile). Turn South (left) and continue for approximately 3 km (2 miles). You will come to a dead end and the Graves Wildlife Sanctuary is on your left hand side.
